According to one of Ms. Zern's college professors, serious literature speaks to the heart and humor writing speaks to the intellect, which is another way of saying that writing about human mayhem is a breeze. It's taking mayhem and turning it into laughs, now that's the trick, and generally it takes smart people to appreciate the irony of fire ants who can dance the tango.
